Future of Abortion: Controversies & Care
25th-26th June 2008 at QEII Conference Centre.

From ethics to care: exploring the future of abortion
Today, debates about abortion are carried out in two distinct frameworks: as an ethical or political issue, and as a matter of public health. Abortion is seen as both a moral matter on which society should take a view, and as a personal, practical solution to an individual woman's unwanted pregnancy. This conference aims to bring the two discussions into one arena.
This conference is a unique opportunity to share views on the current controversies, and to learn about advances in how services can be delivered. We are delighted that the Rt. Honourable Dawn Primarolo, MP, Minister of State for Public Health is able to join us to open the conference and we look forward to welcoming you to the debate.
