“bpas is proud to support the Women’s March on London. Attacks on women’s reproductive health happen everywhere, and have increased in ferocity in recent years. Widespread condemnation of Donald Trump’s suggestion that women be ‘punished’ for having abortions was reassuring but largely ignored that abortion remains in the criminal law in the UK and Northern Irish women are still unable to access care at home. Women and their allies must come together to show our commitment to protecting the rights of pregnant women and reforming a legal framework that is unfit for the 21st century. 1 in 3 women will have an abortion in their lifetime – the Women’s March is a chance to show that we stand with those women.”
bpas is supporting and participating in the Women's March on London on 21 January 2017.
