Q. How do I apply for the advertised role?

A. You can apply for any of our positions through NHS Jobs, LinkedIn and Indeed. To search for our latest vacancies, please go to the “How to Apply” page.

Q. What is the shift pattern for the role?

A. These are displayed on the “Additional Information” section at the right hand side of the advert.

Q. What is the salary for the role?

A. Salaries are either displayed on the advert or are on the “Additional Information” section to the right of the advert.

Q. What is the recruitment process for the role I have applied for?

A. This can vary, depending on the role you have applied for. Typically our recruitment process is 1st and 2nd stage interviews, but sometimes (depending on the job role) we may just have a single interview. If we conduct a different recruitment process for instance, an Assessment Centre, this will be displayed on the job advert before you apply for the role.

Q. Do you follow the Agenda for Change pay scales?

A. No. BPAS has its own pay scales.

Q. Will I receive training in the role?

A. Depending on which role you apply for, there are training courses for you to attend. All new starters are enrolled onto mandatory training which includes Induction and Welcoming Diversity.

Q. When will I hear back about whether my application has been successful or not?

A. Typically, you should hear back from us within 2 weeks of the closing date of the advert. If you haven’t heard back from us within 2 weeks of the closing date, please assume that you have been unsuccessful.

Q. Can I send you a copy of my CV?

A. Yes. If you haven’t found a role suited to your skills and experience, please send a copy of your CV to recruitment@bpas.org

Q. Do you offer work experience or placements?

A. We try and accommodate all requests for work experience, placements and shadowing however, sometimes we cannot accommodate requests. If you’d like to be considered for work experience or a placement, please send your CV to recruitment@bpas.org. We also offer educational opportunities for professionals, trainees and students who wish to gain experience of abortion care work - click here for information.

Q. I’d like to apply for a bank position, who can I send my CV to?

A. Bank positions are advertised on the NHS Jobs website along with our current vacancies. If you cannot find a bank position to apply for, please send your CV to recruitment@bpas.org
