Please support our campaign
for women in Northern Ireland

It’s 2017. But for women in Northern Ireland, it’s not yet 1967.

The 1967 Abortion Act which gave women in England, Wales, and Scotland access to lawful abortion services was never extended to Northern Ireland. Women from Northern Ireland are forced to either travel to England for help when faced with an unwanted pregnancy, at a huge personal cost, or use abortion medication purchased online, illegally – and risk up to life imprisonment.

At BPAS, we want all women in Northern Ireland to have access to safe abortion care. And you can help us achieve this.

Your donation could help our work with women from Northern Ireland, supporting the subsidised services we provide for women who are struggling to raise the funds for abortion care in England, our free 24-hour helpline for women who have used online abortion pills and are in need of medical advice and campaigns to change the law in Northern Ireland and elsewhere in the UK

Any donation, big or small will make a real difference. A regular monthly gift will also help support our work on an ongoing basis, until women in Northern Ireland can finally access care at home.

Thank you.

Gift Aid

You can 'Gift Aid' any donation by completing a declaration to accompany your donation.  You must pay enough UK income tax and/or capital gains tax to cover the amount of tax that BPAS will reclaim.  You will need to supply a gift aid declaration which includes:

  • your (donor) name and home address
  • the charity's name - British Pregnancy Advisory Service (BPAS)
  • details of the donation amount - stating that it is a 'gift aid donation'
  • confirmation you have paid UK tax  sufficient to cover the tax BPAS will reclaim

A declaration can be made which applies either to a single one-off donation, or for multiple donations  (including all future donations and donations made up to 4 years prior to the date of the declaration).
