Every year, thousands of women across the UK will face a pregnancy they cannot continue, and there will be countless complex reasons why.
With your support this International Women’s Day, we can continue to defend access, protect dignity, and safeguard choice for every woman who needs us.
For nearly 60 years, BPAS, the British Pregnancy Advisory Service, has stood with women when they need us most, providing essential abortion care, defending reproductive rights, ensuring every woman can make her own decision about her pregnancy.
We are the UK’s leading abortion care provider, providing treatment on behalf of the NHS to over 100,000 women each year.
We are also the voice for women who need abortion care. We are unafraid to advocate on their behalf, especially when others remain silent. We have fought for legislation to create buffer zones, and champion legal reform to end the criminalisation of abortion. We also campaign to expand access to contraception so women can take control of their fertility.
1 in 3 women will need an abortion in her lifetime. This International Women’s Day, we ask, will you stand with them?
Your donation will support our charity to:
- Campaign to protect reproductive choice - funding advocacy that defends and extends abortion rights.
-
Fight barriers to care - working to reform archaic laws and to ensure women in every part of the UK can access treatment as close to home as possible.
-
Improve access to contraception - championing innovation in fertility control and tackling barriers to existing methods, including emergency contraception.
