At BPAS — the British Pregnancy Advisory Service — we work to ensure that every woman can make her own decision about her pregnancy, and receive care when she needs it most.
We are the UK’s leading abortion care provider, providing treatment on behalf of the NHS to over 100,000 women each year. We also campaign for reproductive choice and rights.
Alongside providing essential women’s healthcare, we have fought to introduce buffer zones around abortion clinics, protecting our patients and staff from harassment and abuse. We have championed legal reform to end the criminalisation of women who are accused of ending their own pregnancies. And we have pushed to broaden access to contraception, so that women are empowered to take control of their fertility.
For almost 60 years, BPAS has been the voice of women who need abortion care. We are never afraid to campaign on their behalf, particularly when others are silent.
