A medical assessment and full consultation is necessary before abortion treatment can take place to make sure that it is legal, suitable and safe. The consultation and medical assessment is usually completed over the telephone, but sometimes takes place in clinic, and we may need to send you for a scan to date your pregnancy. You will be asked a number of questions, on the booking form, to help us decide whether you need an ultrasound scan before we offer treatment.
